Artist's Description
I took this picture during a scenic flight over Lake Tekapo and the Southern Alps (South Island, New Zealand). Lake Tekapo is part of a UNESCO Dark Sky Reserve. It gets its intense milky-turquoise color from the fine rock-flour (ground by glaciers) which is suspended in the water.
