Description

Hildur is a traditional Icelandic oak fishing boat which was built in Akureyri in 1974 and was converted in 2009 into a two masted schooner with 250 sqm of sails.

This schooner is a descendant of the first decked sailing vessels in north Iceland in the 19th century. There are only three of this kind in Iceland.

Nowadays it is being used for whale watching tours.
